Asphalt - New Pour Because of the cable's high quality and durable makeup, it can withstand the heat and compression of newly poured asphalt. The cable is laid out on the base surface (usually sand), and the asphalt is hand shoveled onto the cable and base surface. Asphalt - Retrofit Radiant heat doesn't have to be installed in a new driveway. If you have an existing asphalt driveway, then you're in luck. The cable only needs to be embedded in a half inch of asphalt. The cable is secured to the existing asphalt with clips and nails, then the new asphalt is hand shoveled on to the existing driveway and cable. Our system provides high performance for heating asphalt driveways. Brick and Stone We can install our radiant heating systems into brick and stone driveways at the time of their installation. Radiant heating systems are preferred in brick and stone driveways because they extend the life of the driveway by eliminating the need for plows, shovels and salts to come into contact with the driveway. Concrete - New and Retrofit We can install our heating systems in concrete driveways at the time of their installation or retrofit later.
